Terms of Service
Last updated: October 23, 2026
These terms apply to the use of Dyyno, the website dyyno.xyz and every
school workspace at <school>.dyyno.xyz (together, the "Service"). A school that uses
Dyyno may also have a separate agreement with us; if that agreement conflicts with these terms, the agreement
applies. By using the Service you agree to these terms.
1. The Service
Dyyno reads course, enrollment and grade information from a school's Canvas account and provides progress rosters, official progress reports, Word and CSV exports, read-only parent links, a teacher portal for observations, and related tools. We may improve and change the Service over time.
2. Accounts and access
- The school decides who gets access. School administrators create counselor accounts, choose which campuses each counselor may see, and send teacher and parent links.
- Keep passwords and links private. Parent and teacher links work for anyone who has them; if a link is shared by mistake, the school can regenerate it, which stops the old link from working.
- Tell your school administrator, or us, as soon as possible if you think an account or link has been misused.
3. The school's responsibilities
- The school is responsible for having the right to provide the information Dyyno processes (for example under FERPA and other applicable student-privacy laws) and for the Canvas API token it supplies.
- The school is responsible for the accuracy of what its staff and teachers write in Dyyno, and for whom it shares reports with.
4. Acceptable use
Do not use the Service to break the law, to access information you are not authorised to see, to attempt to bypass security or another school's separation, to overload or disrupt the Service, or to upload harmful files or code.
5. Data and privacy
The school owns its data. We process it only to provide the Service, as described in our Privacy Policy. A school can ask us at any time for a copy of its data or for its deletion.
6. Availability and support
We work to keep the Service available, secure and backed up every day, but we cannot promise that it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. Planned maintenance is kept short and, where possible, scheduled outside school hours. For help, schools can contact us at the address below.
7. Fees
Fees, if any, are agreed separately with each school.
8. Ending use of the Service
A school can stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend access that breaks these terms or puts the Service or other schools at risk. When a school stops using Dyyno, we delete its information as described in our Privacy Policy, and can provide an export first if the school asks.
9. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is", and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from its use. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top of this page and, for important changes, inform the schools that use Dyyno before the changes apply.
